Artist's Description

This is one of the numerous lakes in Jiuzhaigou, China National Park, about 6,000 ft above sea level, but with spring like condition of beautiful cherry blossoms, and pussie willows in February. This is like a paradise where pandas used to roam. Jiuzhaigou was inscribed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site in 1992 and a World Biosphere Reserve in 1997.

Eileen Fong applies the basic discipline of Chinese painting to express her love of nature. She enjoys letting her spontaneous brushstrokes give expression to the images that sift freely through her thoughts. Previously a medical technologist, she has an avid interest in exploring and creating. Eileen artistic path has made more interesting by combining other media such as Acrylic and Encaustic Wax Painting using broad strokes of melted wax. As an active member of several artists group and Arts Councils in B.C., Eileen has shown her artwork in many solo and juried exhibitions in Canada, the U.S.A and Spain.
