This is a painting of glacier mountain hiking trail with alpine wild flowers. There are the white globe flowers with five ivory sepals and lacey leaves; the yellow snow buttercups, reddish shrubs, snow patches and scattered rocks along the path. It is an acrylic on paper painting, 23” x 15”, framed with white mat, glass and black wood frame. The completed measurement is 29” x 20”.
Eileen Fong applies the basic discipline of Chinese painting to express her love of nature. She enjoys letting her spontaneous brushstrokes give expression to the images that sift freely through her thoughts. Previously a medical technologist, she has an avid interest in exploring and creating. Eileen artistic path has made more interesting by combining other media such as Acrylic and Encaustic Wax Painting using broad strokes of melted wax.
